NextTrip Someday wishlist on iPhone

It's like Goodreads, for travel.

Keep a shared, running list of the places you dream of — then watch it grow across three gentle layers.

Dream

Add any place, no commitment. Rank your someday list by gut feel.

Plan

When one feels right, give it a date. Bring along the people who'll come.

Relive

After you go, it becomes a memory in your timeline — a few photos, people, ages.

The Someday wishlist, drag-to-rank

Someday, ranked

Your whole someday list, in one tap.

Drag to rank the places you're dreaming of. Add anything — a country, a city, or the back garden. Nothing required but a name.

"Add a place… even the Moon. 🌙"

The Journeys timeline on iPad, with trip photos

A timeline of your trips & life

Every trip becomes a memory worth keeping.

Journeys lays out everywhere you've been and everything ahead in a warm, scrollable timeline — with photos, the people who came, and the ages they were.

It opens on a gentle "You are here" line, right between the past and the future.

The people behind the trips

It's about who you go with.

Our Life keeps your household — names, headshots, the little milestones — so every memory knows who was there, and how old they were.

"Who would go?"

Your travel map: green been pins and coral want-to-go pins

See it all at a glance

Your whole world, on one map.

Every place you've been and every place you're dreaming of, dropped as pins — green for been, coral for someday. Tap any pin to open its trip.

Filter by who's been where, and watch the map fill in as a family.

Dinner Mode & quiet overlaps.

One tap opens a calm "where next?" view for the at-the-table moment — your shortlist, a fun "this or that," and a "surprise us."

And it quietly notices when you both want Japan, and floats it up. No work, no algorithm.

What we believe

Built like a family keepsake, not a product.

Private by default

Your dreams and lists are yours. Nothing is shared unless you say so — ever.

Nothing required but a name

No rigid forms, no fields to fill, no "doing it right." Add a place and move on.

Friends, not algorithms

Ideas come from people you trust — "what did they love here?" — never an AI itinerary.

Made by a family, for families

A small, handcrafted side project — built slowly, with love, by people who use it.

Where it came from

It started as a list in a shared doc.

For years, one family kept a living document of every place they dreamed about — asterisks, question marks, inside jokes, and a few real plans, all jumbled together. NextTrip is that doc, given a cozy home.

Where to, someday?

  • Japan — cherry blossoms!!
  • ?Italy (which part??)
  • 🌙The Moon
  • Lisbon — we did it
  • 🌳Back garden campout
  • 🥤Fiji — for the Fiji water

…and a 12-layer wedding cake, someday.

Be among the first.

Good questions.

Yes. There will always be a generous free version — enough to keep your whole someday list and your timeline. Down the road we may offer optional keepsakes and extras, but the heart of it stays free.
Completely. NextTrip is private by default — your lists, photos, and people are visible only to your household. Nothing is ever shared or sold, and there's no public feed.
It's beautiful on iPhone and iPad today, synced across your household's devices. Android is on the way.
We're in invite-only early access right now. Join the waitlist and we'll send you an invite when it's your turn — no rush, no pressure.
Couples and families who love travel and love talking about it — anyone who's ever said "wouldn't it be amazing if…" over dinner. It's for dreaming together, not tracking logistics.
Gently. NextTrip is a small side project, not a venture-backed startup. The free version stays free; one day there may be optional paid keepsakes (like a printed travel book). We'll never sell your data — that's not the deal.
